PROTOCOLS FOR MEMBERS’ USE OF THE NAME AND LOGO OF THE ASSOCIATIONOnly affirmed members may use the Association’s name or logo. All uses of the name and logo must have the prior written approval of the Board before publication. Examples to be sent for approval, care of the Registrar at the Association’s Head Office, must be either camera-ready art or “saved to disk” The name of the Association must be written out in full; specifically: The Association of Professional Accounting & Tax Consultants Inc. The logo is the official triangular design published by the Association. Associated and Affiliated members cannot use the logo or name in any manner. The name and logo cannot be used to imply a statutory accounting designation. If the member operates a practice under a name in any way different from his or her own, the name of the member must be added elsewhere in a way clearly linked to the Association’s name. The name and logo cannot be visually linked to any other named individual who is not an affirmed member, even if the affirmed member’s name is clearly indicated. In a publication of more than one page, or having more than one panel, the member’s name must appear on the same page or panel as the Association’s name or logo. The Association’s name and logo must be large enough to be legible but no larger than the largest print or graphic respectively used in the member’s publication. The logo must be either in black or white or in the exact colours of the official design. The logo must be to the left of the Association’s name and centred on the same line. The logo cannot be used without the name of the Association to its right. The Association will make its logo available, free if by post or email, and for a charge of $15 if a computer disk is required. The Association will publish from time to time acceptable formats for the use of the name, to which members must adhere. Approved by the Board
