The Association of Professional Accounting and Tax Consultants, APATC for short, is a not-for-profit association representing practitioners in accounting, tax and bookkeeping, originally formed in 1981, and federally incorporated since 1982.  Our members are primarily self-employed but also offer associate membership to employees of accounting and bookkeeping firms.
