Affiliated Member

Affiliated Membership is for those who are self-employed as a proprietor or a principal or employee of a corporation they own, or is owned by one or more non-arm’s length shareholders. Most practitioners who apply for membership will be in this category.

Affiliated Members have two years to pass a qualifying exam in either accounting or income tax in order to achieve Affirmed Voting Member status.

Associate Member category is for practitioners who are employees of a member or non-member firm, or are engaged in business in a related field such as computer consulting or software design.
